“Reading is important, because if you can read, you can learn anything about everything and everything about anything.”― Tomie dePaola

Children's Books

Everyone has a favorite children's book that is associated with a wonderful memory.  I fell in love with children's books when I became a mom.  The illustrations drew me into the pages, and the memories of reading to my little ones can still make me smile.

KING'S DAY OUT!

I had the pleasure of illustrating the first two books in a series titled “King’s Day Out”, co-written by Maggie van Galen, author, storyteller and writer, and Dr. Amy Wheaden, a pediatric occupational therapist and owner of kidSHINE LLC.

Each book is a story about a Bernese Mountain Dog pup, his best friend Ben, and how they support each other with new situations using tools designed to help with sensory challenges and anxieties.  This series is designed for children, families, schools and by pediatric medical professionals.

MOON JUICE

Molly Alesch, author of Moon Juice, has a clear vision for her stories... She wants to make adult concepts understandable for kids, so they will learn and apply the concepts in a way they can relate to, while having fun too.

Like so many authors, the story was created for her children.  It's about a momma who teaches her kids about the word "intention".  Molly's connection to nature and the moon makes this story sweet and magical, but it is so much more.
